What is enamel pin grading?

Enamel Pins have a lot of manual steps in the manufacturing process, therefore the majority of enamel pins does not come out truly flawless in some way or another. For this reason, pin makers carefully inspect each pin and decide how good the quality of each pin is. Different pin makers have different ways of grading them - you can read mine on my website:

Can I order old pins with new ones?

Yes! You have the opportunity to pick up my previous pins too if you missed them. They will be add ons during and after the campaign during checkout. You will get them at their original campaign price but without the bulk deals.

How do the cross collab/Pintober freebies work?

Cross-Collaboration is a feature on Backerkit where two or more projects are linked, and if you back both projects then Backerkit automatically adds an item to your pledge for free.

Pintober: Back 3 or more projects, and each creator throws in their Trick&Treat pin for you! Mad Child Soul Collab: We will each send you a mini pin if you back both of our projects!

What happens if the pin I want is not unlocked?

If you think the pin you want is not going to be unlocked by the end of the campaign, you can cancel or change your pledge.

What happens if funding fails?

You will not be charged and no product will be made (for now!).

Is shipping included in my pledge?

No. Shipping is charged extra when the campaign ends. It’s a flat fee for all countries:

Germany: 4€ Europe: 7€ Rest of the world: 10€ This is valid no matter the amount of pins you buy.

My pin has scratches, dust spots or other imperfections

If you believe that you received a subpar quality pin, please reach out to me. I do my best to weed out the faulty ones, but mistakes happen. Note that some flaws are expected and normal, due to enamel pins being made by hand mostly.

I cannot use Backerkit / don't have a credit card

The pins will be available for purchase after the campaign - if you message me during the campaign that you want to back them but can’t use BK, I can sell them to you for the BK prices after they arrive (regular sales price will be higher). Just contact me ([email protected] or in my DMs on social media) and we can figure out a way to get the pins to you!

Note that there are countries that I am not allowed to ship to, but for most countries in the world it’s not a problem.

I changed my mind, can I get a refund?

During the campaign, you can edit or cancel your pledge anytime with no problem.

After the campaign, I will generally not issue refunds since funds go towards production, shipping and other costs.

How do I track my order?

If you receive a tracking number starting with something like “LF”, it is a DHL tracking number and you can go to dhl.de or your countries’ equivalent to track the order. If you receive a tracking number that is a very long string of numbers, it’s a Transglobal Express (most US customers except for certain states) tracking number and you can track it via USPS.

My order is damaged / items are missing

I generally recommend you to film the unboxing process so there’s transparency on what shape the order arrived in! If your parcel is visibly damaged from the outside, the carrier may be responsible for the damage and then I can send you replacement. If your order arrived in bad shape due to my fault I will also send replacement right away. Please contact me right away if any of these happen!

What I will not cover is damages that are reported late because it is difficult to tell what went wrong and if it may be the buyer’s fault.

My tracking number is not moving

It can take a few days before tracking numbers start to move initially - because the shipping method I use is only scanned for the first time in the sorting center and not upon drop off. If you experience that your tracking number is stuck for longer than a week after the first scan, please contact me and I will forward your issue to the shipping carriers. Please note that you HAVE to contact me as soon as possible when that happens because insurance expires 30 days after the last scan.

Sometimes I also generate shipping labels long before I ship the items, in that case they can be stuck for a while too.

My payment failed, can I still fill out the survey?

Yes, I encourage you to do so! Once addresses lock, I will once more attempt to charge your cards (shipping included this time), and will continue to do so as long as the project is open. If it all fails, you can try to reach out and we can sort out payment differently.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
